Great article by Tim Wise. I’ve long been fascinated by sociopaths — their prevalence, their insidiousness and how they are motivated to dominate others, as well as by the general unwillingness of non-sociopaths to believe that underneath a charming exterior some people actually don’t give a rat’s ass about others. I believe that there is such a thing as mass psychopathy in which sociopathic social dominators (Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich, Dick Cheney, Ken Lay, Eric Harris, Adolph Hitler, Sarah Palin, bully bosses everywhere) lead a second group of people–those inclined to follow dominators–to do virtually anything these sadistic monsters tell them to do. Together, they are why we have genocides. The current right wing is a self-selected batch of social dominators and their followers.
Just sayin’ …
